Advanced Lithium Technologies turns Australian beta-spodumene directly into battery cathode material. It’s cheaper, cleaner, and built for a sovereign battery industry.

THE PROBLEM

Australia is one of the world’s largest lithium producers, yet almost all of the value is exported offshore.

Around 98% of the world’s lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode is made in China. The conventional route from spodumene to cathode is complex and energy-intensive, and it produces a large sodium sulphate waste stream. Australia should have a much bigger place in the battery value chain than it does today.

OUR SOLUTION

A breakthrough process developed with Curtin University and designed around the final cathode material, with no lithium chemical step in between.

Our proprietary process converts Australian spodumene directly into LFP and LMFP cathode active material. It skips several of the costly, energy-intensive and disposal-intensive intermediate steps used today.
